My adventure in Costa Rica has officially begun! Day one started at the Colorado Springs Airport, which I absolutely love. It’s small, efficient, and only seven minutes from home, making it super convenient for travel. After catching an early flight to Denver, I faced a bit of a delay, leading to a mad dash from Terminal A to Terminal B to make my connecting flight. Thankfully, I made it just in time and soon found myself en route to the beautiful landscapes of Costa Rica.
Upon landing in Liberia, I was greeted by amiGO Rent a Car’s shuttle service, which whisked me away to pick up my rental – a Toyota Yaris. Looking back, I definitely recommend renting a high-clearance 4x4 if you’re planning to explore more remote areas; the roads here can be quite an adventure in themselves!
My first day was a perfect introduction to Costa Rica. After settling in, I headed to downtown Liberia. The vibrant atmosphere, friendly locals, and colorful streets made for a great experience. I took a stroll around the town, picked up a local SIM card from kölbi, and even enjoyed a cold beer at a local bar by the park.
With the day winding down, I made my way to my Airbnb for a much-needed rest. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
