How to Plan a Surprise Proposal Photoshoot at Garden of The Gods

This was a very special day for Bennett + Ava, and I'm stoked I was there to capture it. Surprise proposal photo sessions are the best. There is just lots of anticipation, and very emotional when it happens!

Hiring a professional photographer for your proposal is the best way to capture a memory of a lifetime.

I tear up almost every single time when it happens! Here are a few tips on how to make the perfect secret proposal photoshoot here in Colorado Springs at Garden of The Gods:

  1. If you are local here in Colorado Springs, let's do a walkthrough together! I can show you some of my favorite spots around the park.

  2. Arrive early, I can't say this enough. Garden of the Gods gets really busy during the summer, so it's hard to find parking. I recommend meeting and parking at lot number 2, it's called Central Garden.

  3. Don't be nervous! Obviously easier said than done. It's going to be fun, and he/she is going to say yes!

  4. Give them a big hug before going on your knees. This will give me the signal as you photographer that is about to happen!

“Had a fantastic time with Bobak! I highly recommend the experience to anyone looking for special photos. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.” - Bennett

Regardless of how you would like to do this, remember that it's all about having fun and being in the moment. I can’t wait to celebrate with you soon.
