My Stay at Antonio’s A Frame Cabin in Costa Rica

When I first stumbled upon Antonio’s A Frame Cabin on Airbnb, I had no idea it would turn out to be one of the most memorable experiences of my trip to Costa Rica. Nestled in the serene woods near Santa Cruz, this cabin offered everything I needed to reconnect with nature and draw inspiration for a dream I’ve held close to my heart—building my own cabin in the woods.

A Dreamy Escape in the Heart of Nature

From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the natural beauty surrounding the cabin. The towering trees, the symphony of birds singing throughout the day, and the occasional chatter of monkeys made it feel like I was in my own private slice of paradise. The cabin itself is a masterpiece of rustic charm, blending seamlessly with its surroundings while offering all the comforts you could ask for. Antonio has done a remarkable job designing a space that feels both cozy and open, with large windows that invite the outdoors in.

First Night Frights and Nature’s Surprises

Of course, no adventure is complete without a bit of excitement. On my first night, I had a rather unexpected visitor—a scorpion! As someone who had never encountered one before, I was definitely taken aback when I found it on my bed. The experience of tossing it out was a bit nerve-wracking, but I was relieved that it didn’t sting me. It’s one of those moments that reminds you that in Costa Rica, you’re truly in the wild, and encounters with insects and critters are all part of the experience.

Capturing the Beauty of the Cabin

As a photographer, I couldn’t resist the opportunity to take a few shots of the cabin and its surroundings. The natural light filtering through the trees, the textures of the wooden beams, and the overall vibe of the place were incredibly inspiring. Each photo tells a story of tranquility and connection to the earth, capturing the essence of what makes this cabin so special.

A Place to Find Inspiration

Staying at Antonio’s cabin was more than just a getaway—it was a source of inspiration. I’ve always dreamed of building my own cabin, a place where I can escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and immerse myself in nature. This stay brought that dream into sharper focus, giving me ideas and motivation to make it a reality someday.

Highly Recommended

If you find yourself in Costa Rica, I can’t recommend Antonio’s A Frame Cabin enough. The beauty of the surroundings, the thoughtful design of the space, and the sense of serenity you’ll find here are unparalleled.

I left Antonio’s cabin with a heart full of gratitude and a mind buzzing with ideas. I’m already looking forward to the day I can return, and who knows—maybe next time, I’ll have a few new cabin-building plans to share. Here is his place if you are interested in booking it:
