Between Two Worlds
I was born in Texas, but I spent most of my childhood and teenage years in Tehran, Iran, surrounded by mountains, rich culture, and landscapes that felt strikingly similar to what I now call home here in Colorado.
I’ve lived half my life there and half my life here, and both places are equally a part of me. Colorado is where I’ve built my life and career, but the beauty and spirit of Iran are always with me. Carrying both in my heart keeps me grounded, connected to different cultures, and inspired to tell stories that feel true on both sides of the world.
A Life of Adventure
Travel has been part of my story since childhood, when my dad would take our family across borders to explore new places. Over the years, that spark has grown into a lifelong passion. I’ve now had the privilege of visiting 19 countries, each one shaping the way I see the world.
For me, travel is more than stamps in a passport. It’s the smells, tastes, languages, and cultures that make every place unique. Those experiences bring me joy and purpose, reminding me that life is meant to be explored.
Why I Photograph
My journey began with a passion for cinematography and filmmaking while earning my bachelor’s degree at UC Santa Cruz. I still remember the magic of stepping into a darkroom and developing my first roll of film. That moment was the spark that drew me into photography.
After graduating film school, I realized how much I love getting to know people and learning about different cultures and backgrounds. At the same time, my passion for travel, landscapes, and nature kept pulling me toward adventure. It just clicked! Photographing people in beautiful places brings together everything I love most.
Meet Aspen
When I first moved to Colorado Springs, I adopted Aspen from the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region, and he has been the best part of my life ever since. He’s my joy, my best friend, and my constant trail buddy.
As someone who’s single and doesn’t have kids, Aspen truly is my everything. The adventures we share, from long hikes to quiet nights at home, remind me every day what unconditional love looks like. He’s not just my dog, he’s family, and he’s the heart of my journey.

I feel incredibly lucky that travel has taken me to 19 countries, from the glaciers of Iceland to the markets of Guatemala, from the Mediterranean coast of Italy to the green trails of Ireland. Every place has taught me something new about people, landscapes, and the beauty of shared experiences.

Colorado is home to 58 peaks above 14,000 feet, and I’ve already climbed 7 of them with my camera on my back. Climbing mountains teaches me resilience and reminds me to stay calm no matter what the weather brings — the same approach I take when guiding couples on their day.
