Samantha and Ben’s engagement photography session at Garden of The Gods

There’s something magical about documenting a love story that begins in one breathtaking place and continues in another. For Samantha and Ben, their Garden of the Gods engagement photos were just the beginning of a journey that would lead all the way to their winter wedding in Green Bay, Wisconsin — which I was honored to photograph a year later.

Embracing Nature’s Majesty at Garden of the Gods

Nestled in the heart of Colorado Springs, Garden of the Gods is a landscape of awe-inspiring cliffs, golden meadows, and timeless rock formations. On the day of Samantha and Ben’s engagement session, the sun poured over the red sandstone formations, bathing everything in soft, warm light.

As they explored the trails hand-in-hand, their laughter echoed through the canyon walls. Every frame reflected the balance between their adventurous spirit and quiet connection — something I always aim to preserve through my lens.

Love Blossoming Amidst Spring Colors

Spring in Colorado brings vibrant life to the landscape, and that energy was mirrored perfectly in Samantha and Ben’s chemistry. They moved effortlessly through blooming paths, sharing playful smiles and heartfelt glances. The session was filled with both energy and calm — the kind of mix that defines truly connected couples.

The light danced beautifully off the sandstone formations and wildflowers, giving each photo a feeling of warmth and renewal. Their Garden of the Gods engagement photos became a visual poem of love and color.

Adventure, Laughter, and Connection

Samantha and Ben share an adventurous spirit, and it showed in every photo. They climbed rocks, explored hidden corners, and never stopped laughing. Their ability to find joy in every moment made this session one of the most memorable I’ve captured at Garden of the Gods.

Engagement sessions are more than just photos — they’re about creating a shared experience. Whether you’re hiking in the red rocks or exploring a new city together, those moments of connection become the foundation for your wedding day memories.

From Colorado to Wisconsin — A Destination Love Story

Their love story didn’t end in Colorado. A year after this session, I had the privilege of traveling to Wisconsin to photograph their winter wedding in Green Bay — a magical day filled with snowflakes, laughter, and the same heartfelt connection they shared at Garden of the Gods.

You can explore that next chapter here:

It’s always an honor when couples invite me to continue their story beyond one session — from Colorado’s red rocks to snowy Wisconsin streets, love truly knows no bounds.

Samantha and Ben’s Garden of the Gods engagement photos are a timeless reminder that love is both an adventure and a homecoming. The red rocks framed their laughter, the spring air carried their joy, and their story continues to unfold beautifully.
