Embarking on a culinary adventure is one of my favorite parts of this craft — especially when it involves photographing dishes that tell stories of flavor and culture. I’m Bobak Radbin, a Colorado food photographer based in Colorado Springs, and this recent collaboration with Taro Bites, a renowned Indian and Chinese food delivery service, was a sensory journey I won’t forget.
Colorado Food Photographer: Blending Flavor and Art
With over 50 dishes to photograph, this project was a dream for any food photographer. Each plate — from spicy curries and vibrant biryanis to savory noodles and stir-fries — offered its own challenge and reward. The rich color palette and dynamic textures brought every frame to life, and my goal was simple: to let the food speak for itself through light, shadow, and color.

A Gastronomic Showcase
Photographing for Taro Bites meant diving into a world of bold spices and culinary artistry. Each dish was plated with care, reflecting the restaurant’s dedication to quality and authenticity. Whether it was the deep richness of an Indian curry or the glossy, wok-tossed brilliance of a Chinese stir-fry, the camera captured both the taste and the tradition behind it.

Savoring the Experience
One of the best perks of food photography? Sampling the artistry you’re documenting. The chefs at Taro Bites prepared a spread that highlighted their mastery of spice and balance. Every dish felt like an adventure — and it all ended perfectly with a warm cup of house-made chai that carried all the comfort of home.
Capturing Culinary Artistry
As a Colorado food photographer, I love projects that bridge taste, texture, and storytelling. The Taro Bites session reminded me why I fell in love with this work — food is memory, emotion, and culture all in one frame. These images, soon to appear across their marketing and delivery platforms, reflect that vision: simple, bold, and human.
