Why Hire a Destination Wedding Photographer?

Every love story deserves to be told in the places that mean the most to you—whether that’s the red rocks of Colorado Springs or the charming countryside of Wisconsin. A destination wedding photographer ensures your story feels seamless, no matter where the journey takes you.

Ben and Sam’s celebration perfectly captured this spirit, beginning with engagement photos at Garden of the Gods and culminating in a December wedding in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

From Colorado to Wisconsin – Their Story Comes Full Circle

Before their beautiful winter wedding day in Green Bay, I had the privilege of photographing Samantha and Ben’s engagement session at Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs. That session was filled with laughter, golden light, and the same connection that made their wedding so special.

It’s always incredible to see how a love story evolves from one milestone to the next — from the red rocks of Colorado to the snowy landscapes of Wisconsin.

A Winter Wedding in Green Bay

When December arrived, I traveled to Wisconsin to capture their wedding day. Set at the Olde 41 Premier Banquet Facility, the venue was dressed in winter-themed décor that perfectly matched the crisp air outside. Door County, with its charm and cozy atmosphere, added another layer of magic to their wedding story.

The ceremony was filled with heartfelt vows, laughter, and family warmth. As their photographer, I felt not only like a documentarian but also like part of their extended family.

The Beauty of Destination Weddings

Destination weddings offer couples the chance to:

• Choose a location that feels meaningful, whether scenic or sentimental.

• Combine travel and celebration for an unforgettable experience.

• Create photographs that showcase multiple locations in one love story.

• Invite loved ones to share in both the adventure and intimacy of the moment.

Final Thoughts

Ben and Sam’s journey—from an engagement session at Garden of the Gods to a winter wedding in Green Bay—was a reminder of why I love being a destination wedding photographer. Every couple’s story is unique, and traveling to capture it is one of the greatest privileges of my work.

If you’re planning a destination wedding or elopement, I’d love to be part of your adventure.
