There’s something truly magical about photographing families at Garden of the Gods — the way the light hits the red rocks, the laughter that fills the air, and the emotions that unfold naturally in front of the lens. I’m Bobak Radbin, a Garden of the Gods photographer based in Colorado Springs, and I recently had the honor of capturing Taylor and Stephan’s beautiful family maternity session as they prepare to welcome their newest little one.

A Glimpse into Taylor and Stephan’s Beautiful Family

From the moment we began the session, Taylor and Stephan radiated pure love and warmth. Their young son, Porter, was brimming with energy and excitement, knowing he’d soon become a big brother. As a photographer, there’s nothing more rewarding than witnessing and documenting these special, fleeting moments — the quiet smiles, the shared laughter, and the anticipation of a growing family.

The Magic of Garden of the Gods

Choosing Garden of the Gods for this session couldn’t have been more perfect. The park’s towering red rock formations and breathtaking views provide a setting that feels both majestic and intimate — an ideal backdrop for maternity and family photography.

As we explored the park’s scenic trails and open spaces, the warm golden light of sunset wrapped around Taylor’s flowing dress, creating a timeless, ethereal glow. The natural beauty of the location mirrored the love and joy that Taylor and Stephan shared, reminding me why I love being a Colorado Springs family photographer.

For couples and families interested in sessions like this, I share more planning tips and inspiration in my Garden of the Gods Elopement Guide — it’s a great resource for understanding light, timing, and location options.

Porter: The Adorable Big Brother-to-Be

Porter quickly stole the spotlight during our shoot — his playful curiosity and pure excitement made every frame come alive. We captured sweet candid moments of him exploring, running along the red rock paths, and holding hands with his parents. His joy was contagious, and every click of the camera felt like capturing a piece of childhood wonder.

Moments That Melt Hearts

As the sun dipped below the horizon, Taylor and Stephan shared quiet, tender moments together — the kind that say everything without words. You could feel the love, anticipation, and gratitude between them as they looked toward the future. These are the moments I live to capture: real emotion, genuine connection, and the story of family.
