A Beautiful Garden of the Gods Couple Session

Justin and Rayleigh joined me at Garden of the Gods for a relaxed, joyful, and meaningful couple session. They also brought their golden retriever Maverick, who instantly stole the show with his sweet energy and big golden retriever smile. I love photographing dogs, especially goldens, so this session felt extra special from the start.

We had soft light, beautiful greens, and those classic views that make Garden of the Gods one of the most iconic locations in Colorado Springs. From open meadows to red rock backdrops, every spot we explored added something different to their story. Justin and Rayleigh were playful, connected, and easy to photograph. They laughed together, took their time, and made the entire session feel natural.

What I loved most about this session was the balance of real emotion and fun moments. Maverick stayed close to them, posed like a champ, and occasionally ran around with that full-body golden retriever excitement. Justin and Rayleigh had such a genuine bond. Whether they were holding hands, hugging, or simply sharing a moment, it all photographed beautifully.

Garden of the Gods is one of the best places for couple sessions because the scenery does so much of the storytelling for you. Add a happy dog into the mix, and you get a session that feels warm, personal, and full of life.
