There’s something incredibly special about photographing couples in the days right after they get married. Tyler and Gracie had just said “I do” in Mississippi and traveled to Colorado to celebrate their honeymoon together, which made their garden of the gods honeymoon photography session feel relaxed, joyful, and full of meaning.

We met early in the morning at High Point Overlook in Garden of the Gods, just as soft light began spilling across the red rock formations. The park was quiet, the air was calm, and everything about the morning felt peaceful and intentional.

Morning Light at Garden of the Gods for Honeymoon Photography

Morning sessions at Garden of the Gods are always magical, especially for garden of the gods honeymoon photography. The light is soft, the crowds are minimal, and couples can truly be present with each other.

Tyler and Gracie were effortless together. The way they laughed, leaned into each other, and soaked in the views made the session feel more like a quiet celebration than a photo shoot. Their energy was playful and affectionate, the kind that comes from being newly married and completely wrapped up in each other.

This is exactly why I love recommending early morning sessions to couples traveling to Colorado. It creates space to slow down and actually enjoy the experience.

A Just-Married Couple Celebrating Their Honeymoon in Colorado

What made this session even more special was knowing Tyler and Gracie had just gotten married days before. Colorado was their way of celebrating, exploring, and starting this next chapter together.

Sessions like this are perfect for couples who want something meaningful without the pressure of a full wedding day timeline. Whether you call it a honeymoon session, newlywed session, or post-wedding adventure, it’s all about documenting connection.
