Iceland Travel Photography: A Colorado Elopement Photographer’s Travel Experience

Back in 2018, I had the chance to explore one of the most breathtaking countries I have ever set foot in: Iceland.

This trip was not a commissioned shoot or an elopement assignment. It was a personal journey. I traveled with my then partner, and while relationships evolve, the experience itself remains deeply meaningful. Iceland left a lasting impression on me as both a human and a photographer.

One of the most memorable stops was Dyrhólaey Lighthouse. Standing there, wind pushing hard against my body, I felt completely present. Iceland has a way of doing that. It pulls you out of your head and drops you into the moment.
