Siamese Twins Elopement at Sunset | Barri + Terell + Bronson
Some elopements are elaborate adventures with hours of hiking, multiple locations, and a full day built around the experience.
And some are wonderfully simple.
Barri and Terell’s Siamese Twins elopement at Garden of the Gods was one of those days. They wanted to keep things quick, relaxed, and meaningful, just enough time to get married, take some beautiful photographs, and enjoy the evening together.
And, of course, there was one very important member of the family who needed to be there too: Bronson.
A Simple Siamese Twins Elopement
Barri and Terell’s Siamese Twins elopement was exactly the kind of celebration I love photographing.
There wasn't a huge production or a complicated timeline. We met at Garden of the Gods in the evening and made our way toward Siamese Twins as the sun started getting lower.
The whole thing felt easy.
They got to spend this important moment together without having to turn their wedding day into a massive event. We had the red rocks around us, the mountains in the distance, beautiful evening light, and Bronson tagging along for the adventure.
Sometimes that's really all you need.
Sunset at Siamese Twins
Siamese Twins is one of those places that feels completely different as the light starts to change.
The red sandstone formations catch the warm evening light, and the mountains behind them start to fade into softer tones. As the sun gets lower, everything becomes a little quieter and more dramatic.
For a Garden of the Gods elopement, sunset can be an especially beautiful time for portraits. The late afternoon and final hours before sunset bring warm, directional light across the red rocks, which is exactly what we were able to take advantage of during Barri and Terell's evening.
And then there are the moments that aren't really about the scenery at all.
A laugh.
A look between the two of them.
Bronson standing right there with them.
Those are the photographs that make the whole thing feel like their day rather than just another pretty Colorado landscape.
Bronson Came Along for the Adventure
One of my favorite parts of this dog-friendly Colorado elopement was having Bronson there.
If your dog is part of your family, there's no reason they shouldn't be part of your elopement, too.
Garden of the Gods allows dogs throughout the park as long as they're kept on a six-foot leash, making it a great option for couples who don't want to leave their four-legged family member behind.
And honestly, dogs have a way of making photographs feel more like real life.
They wander around. They look in the wrong direction. They make you laugh. They interrupt the perfectly posed photograph.
Perfect.
That's part of the story.

I think that's one of the things I loved most about Barri and Terell's day.
They didn't need a twelve-hour timeline or a dozen different activities to make the day meaningful.
They got married somewhere beautiful, brought the dog, spent some time together, and watched the sun go down over the Garden of the Gods.
That's an elopement.

Barri and Terell's evening at Siamese Twins is a good example of how simple a Colorado elopement can be.

Maybe it's a short ceremony at sunset. Maybe it's hiking somewhere together afterward.
Maybe your dog comes along. Maybe it's just the two of you, your photographer, and a beautiful place to exchange your vows.
