manitou springs winter family session

This manitou springs winter family session was one of those moments that reminded me how meaningful photography can be over time. I first met this family back in 2019, shortly after I moved to Colorado Springs. Their daughter booked a senior session with me at Garden of the Gods, and it was one of my very first sessions in Colorado. That experience alone made it special.

Since then, our paths crossed again when I photographed their extended family near Prospect Lake in Colorado Springs. That session was full of connection and laughter, and it felt really special to see familiar faces again. This winter session in downtown Manitou Springs, though, became my favorite of them all.

A Snowy Downtown Manitou Springs Family Session

We met in downtown Manitou Springs just as the snow started coming down. It was the first snowfall of 2025, and the timing could not have been better. Snow covered the sidewalks, rooftops, and trees, giving the entire town a calm, cozy winter feel. The mountains faded softly into the background while snowflakes drifted through the air.

Instead of rushing, we embraced the moment. We walked through town, stopped at quiet corners, and let the snowfall set the pace. The result was a relaxed, joyful session that felt natural and unforced. Downtown Manitou Springs is always charming, but in the snow it feels especially magical.

Why This Manitou Springs Winter Family Session Was My Favorite

Every family session tells a different story, and this one stood out because of the season and the history behind it. Photographing the same family across different stages and locations over the years is something I truly value. From a senior session at Garden of the Gods, to an extended family session near Prospect Lake, to this winter family session in Manitou Springs, each chapter felt unique.

Winter family sessions bring something special. The snow adds softness, movement, and atmosphere that you simply cannot recreate any other time of year.

Kind Words From Their Family

“This is the third round of photographs that Bobak Radbin has done for our family. All I can say is that if you want high quality photographs, in a location of your choosing (in the Colorado Springs vicinity), you couldn’t make a better choice.” Stephanie Spindler

Final Thoughts

This manitou springs winter family session was a perfect way to welcome the first snow of 2025. Sessions like this remind me why I love photographing families in Colorado. The scenery, the seasons, and the people all come together to create something timeless.
