A Warm and Natural Garden of the Gods Family Session
Photographing a garden of the gods family session never gets old, and this one with Jenny, Won, Swyn, and Vince was incredibly special. The family was visiting from California and wanted to experience the beauty of Colorado Springs together. We met at Parking Lot 10, one of my all-time favorite starting points at Garden of the Gods. From there, we followed the trails into open fields, tall grasses, and those famous red rock formations with Pikes Peak stretching across the distance.
They arrived with the best energy. Relaxed, kind, easygoing, and ready to explore. The kids were playful and full of life, and the parents kept everything calm and fun. Sessions like this remind me why I love photographing families. When people show up as themselves, the moments become real and meaningful.
Exploring the Trails and Capturing Real Moments
We wandered along the trails, stopping whenever something natural unfolded. Swyn and Vince had such a sweet sibling connection. They laughed together, held hands, chased each other through the grass, and shared little moments with their parents in between all the fun. Jenny and Won brought a steady, warm presence that made everything flow effortlessly.
From scenic wide shots with mountain views to close and intimate portraits among the trees, the entire session felt honest and connected. Garden of the Gods gives families room to breathe and be themselves, and this session was a perfect example of that.

Their Kind Words
Jenny kindly left a review after our session, and I’m including it here exactly as she wrote it:
“My family and I had a wonderful photoshoot session with Bobak. He was timely, friendly, and made everything go smoothly! Highly recommend if you are in the area.”
Her words mean a lot to me, and I’m grateful I had the chance to photograph her family during their trip to Colorado.

A garden of the gods family session offers the perfect combination of adventure, comfort, and stunning views. You get dramatic rock formations, open grassy fields, and peaceful trails, all without needing to hike far. Families can move, explore, play, or simply enjoy time together.
