Why a Garden of the Gods Engagement Session is Pure Colorado Magic
There’s something about Garden of the Gods that just feels magical — the towering red rock formations, the mountain views, and that ever-changing Colorado sky. As a Colorado Springs engagement and adventure elopement photographer, I’ve seen this park in every season and every mood, but Hailey + Erin’s engagement session still took my breath away.
Hailey reached out to me months in advance with one big goal: to surprise Erin with a proposal in one of Colorado’s most iconic spots. Together, we planned every detail ahead of time — the location, timing, and best route through the park to make the most of their two-hour session.

The Proposal at the Siamese Twins
We started the day at the Siamese Twins, a rock formation famous for perfectly framing Pikes Peak in the distance. It’s one of my favorite proposal spots in Garden of the Gods because it offers a perfect mix of privacy, epic views, and natural beauty.
As the wind whispered through the junipers, Hailey dropped to one knee. Erin’s face lit up with surprise and joy, and without hesitation, she said yes. I had both photo and video rolling, so every emotion — from the laughter to the tears — is now preserved forever.

Exploring More of Garden of the Gods
After the proposal, we still had plenty of daylight to explore. We wandered to the Three Graces, where the tall, narrow spires stood dramatically against the sky, then made our way to High Point Overlook for sweeping views of Pikes Peak and the valley below.
And then, as if the day wasn’t already perfect, the sky gifted us a double rainbow. It arched across the red rocks in a rare, serendipitous moment you couldn’t plan if you tried. Hailey and Erin laughed, held each other close, and soaked in the magic — while I captured every second.
For couples curious about planning their own session here, my Garden of the Gods Elopement Guide is packed with tips on timing, best photo spots, and everything you need to know.
