What an incredible day it was at Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs! I had the absolute pleasure of spending time with the lovely Shelby and Erin, capturing unforgettable moments during their honeymoon. From the moment we met, it felt like reconnecting with old friends — their warmth, humor, and authenticity made the entire session a joy to photograph.

As an LGBTQ+ photographer in Colorado Springs, I believe that love, in all its forms, deserves to be celebrated and documented with care and authenticity. Shelby and Erin’s session was a beautiful reminder that love knows no boundaries — it simply radiates.

Love and Laughter Among the Red Rocks

The day unfolded in pure magic. As we explored the majestic rock formations of Garden of the Gods, laughter echoed between the cliffs, and the love between Shelby and Erin shone through in every frame. From playful glances to quiet moments of reflection, their connection was a beautiful example of joy, vulnerability, and freedom.

Garden of the Gods remains one of my favorite locations for Colorado engagement and couple photography because of its balance between grandeur and intimacy — it offers the perfect space for couples to be themselves and let their love shine naturally.

Love, Freedom, and Equality

While photographing Shelby and Erin, I found myself reflecting deeply on freedom — especially the freedom to love openly. Their story reminded me of the countless women and LGBTQ+ individuals around the world who still fight daily for basic human rights and self-expression.

As someone born with roots in Iran, I carry those stories with me. They fuel my purpose — to use art and storytelling as a tool for visibility, empowerment, and hope. Love is love, and no matter where you come from, it deserves to be celebrated without fear or prejudice.

A Honeymoon Session to Remember

Shelby and Erin’s energy was contagious — full of laughter, adventure, and tenderness. As the sun dipped below the horizon, the red rocks seemed to glow with the same warmth that radiated between them. Every photo felt like a small celebration of their love and resilience.
