Katarina and Casey’s Cascade Chipita Park engagement session was one of those dreamy fall afternoons that perfectly captured the spirit of Colorado. Golden leaves, mountain air, cozy cabin vibes — it had everything.

Nestled between Woodland Park and Colorado Springs, Cascade Chipita Park is one of those small mountain towns that you fall in love with the moment you arrive. It’s peaceful and scenic, with tall aspens, charming cabins tucked into the hillside, and the sound of creeks winding through the trees. Whether you’re renting a cozy Airbnb or planning a weekend getaway, this area is one of the most beautiful spots in the Pikes Peak region for couples looking to celebrate their story in a relaxed, intimate setting.

A Cozy Cabin Engagement in the Colorado Mountains

For their session, Katarina and Casey picked a beautiful private cabin surrounded by aspens glowing in peak fall color. The weather was cool but comfortable — perfect for a mountain session that felt both elegant and relaxed.

Katarina wore a ribbed cream dress that matched the soft tones of the cabin interior, while Casey kept it sharp with a navy suit and white shirt. Together, they looked effortlessly stylish, like they’d stepped out of a magazine spread. We started on the deck, where the light filtered through the trees, and then moved inside where they popped champagne, flipped through a design book, and cozied up by the window.

Inside, everything felt warm and natural — laughter, conversation, and that beautiful comfort that comes when two people are totally at ease with each other. It was simple, elegant, and so authentically them.

The Magic of Fall at Cascade Chipita Park

As a Colorado engagement photographer, I’ve shot in a lot of mountain towns, but Cascade Chipita Park has a special charm. It’s quiet and tucked away, yet only about 20 minutes from downtown Colorado Springs. You’re surrounded by trails, waterfalls, and some of the best views near Pikes Peak. The nearby town of Green Mountain Falls also offers scenic bridges, lakeside views, and great little cafés — perfect for grabbing a coffee before or after your session.

This session felt luxurious not because of props or grand gestures, but because of the atmosphere — the fall colors, the textures of wood and wool, and the way these two looked at each other. It’s proof that the best engagement photos come from choosing a space that feels like you.
